There are heavier penalties for more excessive speeding offences which could incur fines of up to £2500 and more points on your licence. You could however, lose your driving licence if the speeding offence is severe.
There are other offences such as dangerous driving which also results in driving bans, fines or points on your licence. If you are not taking due care when driving you could cause a serious accident which could put other people’s lives in jeopardy. That is why this can have a very serious negative affect on your driving licence. If you drive with no insurance you could also find that you get huge penalty points on your driving licence.
